The First Expert Meeting of the International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprise Service Capability Assessment Project Team Convened in Nansha

As one of the core events of the 4th Greater Bay Area Port and Shipping Logistics (Nansha) Conference, the First Expert Meeting of the International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprise Service Capability Assessment Project Team was successfully held in Nansha, Guangzhou on November 28.

Currently, the "going global" process of Chinese manufacturing continues to accelerate, deeply integrating into global industrial chains and overseas supply chain systems. However, the service capabilities of international supply chain logistics enterprises vary greatly, and there is a lack of assessment standards. This leaves manufacturing companies with little reference when selecting service providers. To address this, the Shanghai Top 50 Shipping Elites Development Research Center (50SEC), the China Communications and Transportation Association - Shipping and Logistics Branch (CCTA-SLB), and China Shipping Gazette (CSG) initiated the drafting of the International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprise Service Capability Assessment standard. Since its launch, preliminary industry research and standard evaluation have been completed, and the project has been officially approved.

According to the project team formation plan, Huang Youfang, Director of the Logistics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and former President of Shanghai Maritime University, serves as the project team leader. The team will also invite key export industry associations, representative manufacturing enterprises, and representative international supply chain logistics and related service enterprises to serve as member units, appointing experts to participate in the standard drafting work.

This meeting was convened under such circumstances, aiming to solicit comments and facilitate discussions on the International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprise Service Capability Assessment (Group Standard).

Attendees of this meeting included Huang Youfang, project team leader, Director of the Logistics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and former President of Shanghai Maritime University; Fei Weijun, former President of the Waterborne Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport; and Zhao Yifei, Executive Director of the Expert Committee of the Shanghai Top 50 Shipping Elites Development Research Center, among other distinguished guests. Zhao Yifei provided a detailed introduction to the project's background and key drafting points, while simultaneously collecting preliminary opinions from the attending experts. Li Linhai, Advisor of the International Shipping Enterprise Association (ISEA), presided over the meeting.
